Mr. Stevens joined Barrick, Switzer, Long, Balsley & Van Evera, LLP in 1981 after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard N. DeGunther, Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, Western Division. Mr. Stevens has been a member of the Bankruptcy Trustee Panel since 1981. Bankruptcy representation includes debtors, creditors, debtors-in-possession and trustees in Chapters 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy. Private practice areas of concentration, in addition to bankruptcy, include debtor/creditor, municipal, real estate development, and corporate transaction.
