Mr. Biegel has been practicing in Rockford, Illinois since 1985. Originally handling municipal prosecutions in southern Wisconsin, his practice has since concentrated on commercial litigation and transactional work.
He has represented creditors, both secured and unsecured, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for more than 18 years.
He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois and Western District of Wisconsin.
In addition to working in the federal courts, Mr. Biegel has handled cases throughout all counties of northern Illinois, including appellate work before the Second District Appellate Court.
While in law school, Mr. Biegel served as Editor-in-Chief of the Northern Illinois University Law Review. He has also lectured on numerous occasions for the National Business Institute and the Winnebago County Bar Association in the areas of bankruptcy, corporate law, commercial documentation and mortgage foreclosures.
