Nicole has always been passionate about pursuing justice for people who are unable to advocate for themselves. She is thrilled to be part of such a remarkable firm that has given her the opportunity to advocate on behalf of individuals who have suffered a variety of injuries through no fault of their own.
Nicole T. Schroeder
Nicole T. Schroeder was recently hired as an associate attorney at Barrick, Switzer, Long, Balsley & Van Evera. Prior to joining the firm Nicole practiced personal injury law in the Chicagoland area. She handles all types of personal injury, including medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, automobile accidents, premises liability, products liability, and wrongful death cases.
Nicole graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in May 2014. During law school and following admission into the Illinois Bar, she worked as a senior law clerk for the Honorable Judge Kavadias Schneider in Indiana. She was also a licensed intern for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in Chicago.
Nicole received her undergraduate and law degrees as a mother and recently moved back to the Rockford area with her son. She is an active member of the community and volunteers at her son’s school and with the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Beyond the law, Nicole enjoys spending her free time with her son and cheering him on during his many sporting events.
