Ms. Baluch was born in Rockford, Illinois. In 1999, she married her husband, and they have one son who was born in 2008. Ms. Baluch enjoys volunteering in the local community with many great organizations, including the Rockford Women’s Cosmopolitan Club and the American Heart Association, to name a few. In her free time, she enjoys golfing and spending time with her family and close friends.

Laura Baluch is a partner with Barrick, Switzer, Long, Balsley & Van Evera, LLP. She is a highly experienced family law attorney practicing in Rockford, IL. She services Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, Dekalb, & McHenry Counties. Her practice is primarily focused on all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, support issues, and prenuptial agreements. Laura is a Child Representative and Guardian Ad Litem, so she understands the intricacies involved in winning custody cases. She is also a mediator and a trained Collaborative Law Attorney. Laura handles an array of cases ranging from high-asset dissolution cases to high-conflict custody cases, as well as simple divorces and child support matters. She has the ability to successfully negotiate and settle her clients’ cases, as well as aggressively represent them at trial, if need be.
